SOURCE CODE, a review

I have'nt heard about this movie until we saw the movie schedule of Festival Supermall in Alabang. Since its a new set of movie released before the weekend, we gave it a shot to watch it. Jake Gyllenhaal starred in this movie, from the not so long ago film, Prince of Persia, which I've also watched.

Source Code is a sci-fi techno-thriller movie that tells about the experiment of the armed forces intelligence, that became a breaktrough in solving a crime, just a few hours after it happened. Jake, who played the role of Captain Colter Stevens, who's brain was used to enter in the 8-minute last memory of the brain before it dies. It is scientifically explained in the movie how it works for a dead person to be able to grasp certain informations left in the brain before termination.

Captain Stevens, does'nt know at first that he's already dead, and the only thing functioning in his body is his 8-minute brain memory which is very critical in getting into somebody's character or personality which is also dead. Seems confusing at first, but you wont get lost throughout the story because it is cleverly presented. You wont get bored in finding out the truth about the crime that happened a few hours after he entered to the last 8-minute before the bombing incident that costs the lives of all the passengers of the train that exploded.

It is a spontaneous intelligent movie. And in the latter part of the story, i cried. I could'nt help but to shed some tears which i never thought that i would. It's a surprise scene for me, that really touched my heart. Find out why. I love this movie, but i hate it for making me cry.. :)

I give 4.5 STARS for this movie.. Bravo!
