RED RIDING HOOD, a review
As always, i usually blog about movies but unfortunately, this is a late review again.. Laziness keeps on running into my bones.. But nonetheless, i would definitely love to share a review of this movie.
Red Ridinghood is basically based on the children's folktale, The Little Red Riding Hood. Who does'nt know that story?
Anyway, this movie has an adult approach on how is Valerie, The Red Riding Hood related to the "wolf". The movie has a lot of twists and turns where until the end you will keep on guessing who's the "wolf" that attacks the village and who'd also want Valerie to be with him.
It's entertaining, but i think it lacks more "drama"..
So, i give 3.5 STARS for this movie..
3.5 really?! That's quite a lot..
ReplyDeleteI wanted to like it, despite being very aware of the fact that I wasn't the target audience...
I was ready to excuse, its misjudged use of music, its blatant attempts to copy the twilight movies, its OTT acting by Gary Oldman... but in the end it’s too silly for genre lovers, or those who were looking for something more refined like “in the company of the wolves” for example, and it’s too close to Twilight (almost like a copy of it); so much so that it actually annoyed what were meant to be the fans. Also, it must be said, a lot of those Twilight lovers came from the original books, here it all just relies on the similarities with another saga.
