HARRY POTTER and The Deathly Hallows Part 1, a review

 



The last 2-part Harry Potter movie, The Deathly Hallows... We were fortunate to watched it last weekend on IMAX at SM Mall of Asia. As expected, the huge fans of HP were there to join the mania..

The three HP stars were all grown-ups and made me realize how long this movie was stretching back in 2001. It's been 9 years since Harry Potter and his friends started their Wizardry.

To summarize, this Part 1 of The Deathly Hallows HP sequel is not really as exciting as expected.. i have found it boring on some scenes, but i guess it's part of the story because it's not yet finished. There were a lot of revelations along the way, but still left a lot of mysteries for those who have'nt read the book, (like i do..)

The thrill and excitement will be hanged for a long time until the final cut will be shown on July of next year..

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES, a review

This is the fourth installment of The Pirates of the Caribbean movie series. As usual, Johnny played his humorous clever type of a pirate who loves adventures and mysteries. In this film, Jack Sparrow was joined by Angelica (Penelope Cruz) who was his imposter in search for the Fountain of Youth. Angelica is Jack's former lover who happens to be the daughter of the ruthless pirate Blackbeard. This man posseses several magical powers, including the ability to shrink other ships down to miniature size and contain them within bottles. Blackbeard forces Jack to join his crew and lead them to the Fountain to circumvent a prophecy that a one-legged man will soon kill Blackbeard. Meanwhile, Gibbs, who memorized, then destroyed Sparrow's map, joins Barbossa's crew in order to beat Blackbeard and the Spanish to the Fountain. SM City Calamba Grand Opening

It was a TGIF, when SM City Calamba had its grand opening located along the busy road of Real. i remember when i blog about it back in December 21, 2009 where it is still on its first month of construction. I am totally impressed about SM's wikipedia info of its target opening date, which is October of 2010 because they absolutely hit it! Of course, how can i miss that opening? our house is just 5 minutes away from the mall.. though we were'nt able to get our feet stepped in as early, atleast we managed to. ;) The people were so overwhelming, and a huge foot traffic covers all the floors of the mall. It's like we're on a rally or something.. like an Edsa revolution, where we cant barely move as we try to walk around. Worst thing? It took us ages to get a table to eat, because all of the food places were jampacked! customers should even have to wait for the long queue of the restaurants just to have lunch. it's like everybody was there!
