MANGAN RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE





when my hubby and i went to SM sta. rosa last week, we had our lunch at Mangan restaurant.. it was a simple resto that serves kapampangan dishes.. the interior of the resto is very simple, with a white and pastel green motiff.. the wall on both sides is full of white rounded plates, which i think was made of "lahar" from the land of pampanga. i just thought of it because, the volcanic ash remains, from the mt. pinatubo area were being used by the local manufacturers of plates as a raw material in their business..






going back to the food that they serve, they have their own version of "picnic", instead of fried potato strings, they serve fried camote strings as their appetizer. we were fortunate to experience the sugpo sa aligue, which was very tasteful, and flavorful, with a twist of wine in it. it only costs 107php, not bad for a single order. then we also tried their pinakbet, which was really good, at 90php per order. their garlic fried rice and java rice was great as well.. the taste is authentic, and has a very distinctive flavor, just like eating in a fine dine resto at an economical price..






i cant wait to taste all of their dishes! great experience! better check it out.

This is the fourth installment of The Pirates of the Caribbean movie series. As usual, Johnny played his humorous clever type of a pirate who loves adventures and mysteries. In this film, Jack Sparrow was joined by Angelica (Penelope Cruz) who was his imposter in search for the Fountain of Youth. Angelica is Jack's former lover who happens to be the daughter of the ruthless pirate Blackbeard. This man posseses several magical powers, including the ability to shrink other ships down to miniature size and contain them within bottles. SM City Calamba Grand Opening

It was a TGIF, when SM City Calamba had its grand opening located along the busy road of Real. i remember when i blog about it back in December 21, 2009 where it is still on its first month of construction. I am totally impressed about SM's wikipedia info of its target opening date, which is October of 2010 because they absolutely hit it! Of course, how can i miss that opening? our house is just 5 minutes away from the mall.. though we were'nt able to get our feet stepped in as early, atleast we managed to. ;) The people were so overwhelming, and a huge foot traffic covers all the floors of the mall. It's like we're on a rally or something.. like an Edsa revolution, where we cant barely move as we try to walk around. Worst thing? It took us ages to get a table to eat, because all of the food places were jampacked! customers should even have to wait for the long queue of the restaurants just to have lunch. it's like everybody was there!
